When equipping our library, we keep in focus the fact that school libraries in general have a positive impact on student achievement. The major finding of a number of studies shows that students with access to a well-supported school library program score higher on reading assessments. Also, it is believed by many students that their school library programs helped them succeed in school.
The goal of our school library is to ensure that all children have equitable access to books and reading. Our library serves as “learner-oriented laboratory” which supports, extends, and individualizes the school’s curriculum.
In addition to curriculum-oriented information, our library also carries a number of Christian biographies and character building books in order to encourage the children in growing in faith and knowledge of God.
